How deep does stump grinding go?
We typically grind 6–12 inches below the surface, which is sufficient to prevent regrowth and allow for replanting. We can go deeper if needed for construction or landscaping projects.
What happens to the wood chips?
The grinding process produces wood chips that we use to fill the hole left by the stump. You can also use them as mulch in your garden — just let us know.
Can you grind stumps close to fences or structures?
